About Me
I believe that therapy is one of the best investments you can make in yourself or your child. To be able to learn at an early age how to handle stress and navigate challenges in a healthy manner, while understanding one's feelings and sense of self, prepares a child to be a more resilient and happy adult.
My integrative approach to therapy involves creating and nurturing a safe space to express thoughts and feelings, validate & process experiences, learn more about oneself and patterns of relating, and learn new skills and strategies to deal with life’s challenges. I value your unique qualities and strengths, and desire for you to feel unconditionally supported and confident in exploring new ways to bring more satisfaction and wellness into your life.
My career in the Sacramento region as a mental health therapist focused primarily on working with children, adolescents, and families. Many of them had experienced trauma or loss in their lives.
I have clinical experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, suicidal ideation & self-injury, behavioral and school challenges, parent education and coaching, grief & loss, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual & physical disabilities, foster care youth, and life transitions. I have a clinical interest in working with young women specifically and often my practice reflects this.

I have gained diverse experience in my career by working in a variety of settings including: Community Mental Health, Homeless services, Hospice & palliative care, the California Regional Center system, as an individual behavior aide in classrooms, and in youth group home settings.

I formerly consulted for the mental health non-profit agency Buckelew Programs in Napa, Ca for10 years. I provided management and staff with clinical education and guidance, ensuring county compliance and quality assurance in the provision of services to at-risk adults. From 2014 to 2021, I contracted to provide clinical supervision to therapists-in-training at River Oak Center for Children. These therapists were gaining their clinical hours to become licensed therapists in the state of California, through the state Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

My therapeutic orientation is grounded in Humanistic theory. I draw from a range of modalities in our work together to help you reach your goals. This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness practices.
